‘Three Rivers’ for Justina Machado

j_machadoJustina Machado is best remembered as Vanessa Diaz in HBO’s critically acclaimed, award-winning series “Six Feet Under.” Machado has also appeared in television series such as “Grey’s Anatomy” and in the television film, “Pedro.”  OCGente is proud to announce this talented actress is appearing in CBS’s Three Rivers this fall.

Three Rivers is a medical drama starring Alex O’Loughlin, Daniel Henney,  and  four-time Emmy Award-winner, Alfre Woodard that goes inside the emotionally complex lives of organ donors, the recipients and surgeons and medical professionals that are the last hope for their patients.

Machado plays Pam Acosta, a no-nonsense operating assistant and best friend to actor Alex O’Loughlin’s character “Andy Yablonski.”

Machado started acting after graduating from high school and performed on stage at the Latino Chicago Theater. Recently, she starred in Neil Labutte’s “Some Girls” at the Geffen Theater in Los Angeles and her other stage credits include “Blade to the Heat” at the Mark Taper Forum and “Black Butterfly.” Most recently, she appeared at the Golden Gate Theater in San Francisco in “Mambo Kings” opposite Esai Morales, where she was able to showcase her dancing and singing skills.

Born and raised in Chicago as the eldest of five children in a family of Puerto Rican descent, Machado has been a source for quality entertainment for both stage and screen.
