New Music: Fernanda Ulibarri “CORRO”

Fernanda Ulibarri was born and raised in Mexico City, Fernanda moved to the U.S. in 1999 to study music at the renowned Berklee College of Music, where she earned a bachelors degree in Music Synthesis and Classical Composition.

Upon graduation she moved to NYC where she worked mostly in recording studios, producing jingles, performed in numerous musical projects and composed songs for cartoons such as “Go Diego Go!”.

She also had the opportunity of being a Pro Tools instructor at The Institute of Audio Research and edited 2 albums with her band Uli & The Gringos.

In 2008 she moved to the West Coast and started working as a tour musician for Grammy® award winning Mexican Pop Star Julieta Venegas. After the tour, she started working in what today is her album “átOma”.

“I had the necessity of creating music without a computer because they’re around in my life constantly and this time instead of a tool it seemed like an obstacle”. So she left the technology behind and experimented with acoustic instruments creating an organic unique sound.

Her first single “Se Satura Mi Cabeza” was chosen as the single of the week on Starbucks Mexico and garnered rave reviews from colleagues and fans.

Her latest single “Corro” has been officially released and has a video directed by Fernando Rovzar. A beautiful and catchy song which is sung by an up and coming artist in her own right.

átOma is now available on Itunes under Cosmica Records.
